Thank You For The Lord
My oldest son is starting to say his own prayers at bedtime and it is such a blessing to get to hear what is actually on his heart. For example, here is his prayer from last night:Thank you for the Lord that we ate dinner and,
Thank you for the Lord that we had pizza and,
Thank you for the Lord that Adam lives downstairs and we can play and,
Thank you for the Lord that he has Power Rangers and,
Thank you for the Lord that we had a shower and brush our teeth and,
Daddy, we forgot to brush our teeth...
*"We'll brush teeth first thing in the morning boy"*
And, thank you for the Lord that we will brush our teeth in the morning and,
Thank you for the Lord that we are going to bed and,
Thank you for the Lord that we can go to church in the morning and,
Thank you for the Lord that we can have snack and learn about Jesus.
And we nourish our bodies, in Your name, Amen.
If I didn't know any better, this prayer was directly taken out of the Bible...I need to commit more scripture to memory.
